Electric Vehicles Sales Are Up 41% – EDTA And Ford Explain Why

Electric vehicles are going mainstream in part because the industry is finally getting the ecosystem to support this transformation in mobility. The Electric Drive Transportation Association, EDTA, the veteran EV trade group, reported yesterday that in Q2 of this year, EVs were a record 7% of new car sales, and that EV sales were up 41% this year. There are currently 70 EV models on the market with dozens more coming out over the next 3 years. Consumer Reports found that consumers are responding favorably to going electric now, too, and gave a comprehensive list of all the EVs coming out over the next few years.
