EVgo, one of the US’ largest public fast charging networks for electric vehicles, has been selected for more than $12.7 million in preliminary awards from a variety of funding sources across California, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, including utilities, air districts, state energy offices, and state departments of transportation via the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program during the third quarter of 2023. In total, these new awards will support the buildout of more than 150 fast charging stalls.

TOKYO, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Japanese automaker Honda Motor (7267.T) and trading house Mitsubishi Corp (8058.T) have signed a pact to explore new businesses using electric vehicle (EV) batteries, the companies said on Thursday.

The move comes as car makers worldwide embrace battery-driven electric vehicles, but struggle with questions such as tackling the environmental impact after the batteries run out.

WASHINGTON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department on Friday issued new guidance on how a $7,500 electric vehicle tax credit can be used as a point-of-sale rebate starting in January.

Currently, consumers can only take advantage of the $7,500 new EV credit or $4,000 used EV credit when they file their tax returns the following year.
